MASTER TONIC

This is the best tonic, which you can make at home, to support your immune system and help to fight common flu and cold. You will literally use healing foods to boost your immune system and get well much faster.

I have been making and using Master Tonic for years. My family and friends also use it any time when they get sick. I also like to use it as a preventative medicine, especially when I have been around someone who is sick or when I travel. It works great for immune support and overall health support.

Great thing about Master Tonic is that you can make it in advance and it will keep forever, so you have it handy when you need it.



Recipe for homemade Master Tonic

Use only fresh, organic ingredients that look healthy to you. As per apple cider, use only organic, raw apple cider vinegar that is unfiltered with mother. Preferably it should be sold in glass bottle.

I measure ingredients by amount, for example I use 1 cup of chopped garlic and the same cup of onions and other ingredients. All amounts need to be equal.

 

  • 1 part chopped organic garlic (don’t buy prepackaged, peeled one – as it loses some of its strengths)
  • 1 part chopped organic onion (try to get regular onion, not the sweet version)
  • 1 part grated organic ginger root
  • 1 part grated organic horseradish root (have a fun grating this one J)
  • 1 part organic hot peppers (any hot peppers will do and you will notice difference between batches based on what kind of peppers you can find)
  • Organic, raw apple cider vinegar

Follow those steps to make the tonic:

Buy fresh and organic ingredients. You are going to need: onions, garlic, hot peppers, ginger root, and horseradish root. Try to get about the same amount of each. Wash and prepare Mason jar with lid.

Use gloves for this step, especially when chopping hot peppers! Chop or grade ingredients as per list above. Once again try to measure them to get the same amount. I typically go by cups. I would recommend making at least 1 quart, but I make 2 quarts, as Master Tonic keeps well for a long time. In addition you will always find others in need of this healing medicine.

Once you have everything prepared, fill your Mason jar, but leave about 1 inch from the top. Pour organic raw Apple Cider over chopped herbs, covering till about ½ inch from the top. Tight the lid and shake your Master Tonic. It will need to sit for 14 days. For increased strength it will need to be shaken often. If you remember shake it at least once a day – you are guaranteed very powerful Master Tonic. Strain after 14 days and use the liquid part as your tonic.

Recommended use:

When sick – use 1 teaspoon of Master Tonic in glass of water on empty stomach, 30 min before meal (you don’t have to eat after taking your tonic, but don’t eat sooner than 30 minutes after taking it to assure maximum benefits).  Use it 3 times a day for at least 3 days. You should feel better in 24 hours. If you still don’t feel well after 3 days, continue to 5 or 7 days of use. This will really help your immune system to fight the illness.

As prevention – I recommend to use Master Tonic after you have been exposed to company of sick people, visiting Hospital or Doctor’s office during flu season, travelling, or when facing too much stress, which might tax your immune system. Take 1 teaspoon of Master Tonic in glass of water on empty stomach, 30 min before meal (you don’t have to eat after taking your tonic, but don’t eat sooner than 30 minutes after taking it to assure maximum benefits).  Use it 1-2 times a day for 3 days. This will boost your immune system and help to prevent getting sick.
