There is a time when you just crave crunchiness of something fried and satisfactory. I take pride in making recipes that could be filling and still healthy. Even most stubborn family members would love those Crispy Cauliflower Sticks. These are easy and quick to make and would provide you and your loved once with couple of servings of vegetables. You can also serve it with salad or other vegetable varieties for increased health benefits.

Ingredients

  •  1 larger cauliflower
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cups of grated cheese (chose dairy free variety, such as Daya if allergic)
  • ¼ cups of breadcrumbs (gluten free)
  • salt, ground black pepper
  • oil

Tasty and Crunchy Snack

Try to combine those tasty Crispy Cauliflower Sticks with steamed vegetables, probiotic dip, or homemade kimchi. There are endless possibilities on how to use this dish.

Can be made into sticks or balls – based on your preference.

 

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Divide the washed cauliflower into roses and boil in salted water. Just 5-10 minutes.

 

Step 2

Mix the cooked cauliflower in a blender and pour into a bowl.

 

Step 3

Add finely chopped onion, grated cheese, egg, salt, pepper and breadcrumbs.

Mix the mixture well and shape the small rollers with your hands.

 

Step 4

Prepare the baking sheet, line it with baking paper, rub it gently with oil and place the cauliflower sticks on it.

 

Step 5

Bake in the oven at 350° F for about 20 minutes, then turn them over and finish baking for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
